Security is part of careful research
Vrouwveiliger uses technical and organisational measures to protect systems and information. This page explains our approach at a responsible level of detail.
Hosting and backups
The website and the Vrouwveiliger app are hosted in Dutch data centres. The hosting platform retains six daily, four weekly and three monthly backups, available through the secured control panel for recovery purposes.
Restricted access
Access to management environments and research information is limited to authorised users and is granted according to role and necessity.
Secure connections
Website traffic and management access use encrypted connections where supported and appropriate.

Measures include, depending on the system and risk:

Shared responsibility
No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free. We review measures periodically and expect authorised users to handle accounts, devices and information carefully.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security issue, do not publish or exploit it. Describe the issue as clearly as possible and send it to us. We will assess the report carefully.
