Purpose of Vrouwveiliger

Vrouwveiliger collects signals about perceived safety in public space and translates recurring patterns into anonymised analyses, maps, reports and policy-oriented recommendations.

Not for emergencies

Vrouwveiliger is not an emergency service, police report channel or incident reporting point. Call 112 in immediate danger.

Perceived safety

A signal describes a respondent’s experience. It does not by itself prove that a location is objectively unsafe or dangerous.

No individual guarantee

Submitting a signal does not guarantee an individual response, investigation or measure. Signals are primarily used for research and pattern analysis.

Analyses and recommendations

Analyses and recommendations support research and policy decisions. They do not replace independent professional, legal, safety or municipal assessment.
