Accessible to as many people as possible

Vrouwveiliger wants the website and public app to be usable by as many people as possible. We therefore pay attention to clear language, readable design, logical navigation and operation on different devices.

Our accessibility principles

In design, content and development we aim to take accessibility into account from the outset.

clear and understandable language
sufficient colour contrast and readable text
logical heading structure and meaningful link text
keyboard operation where possible
usable layouts on desktop, tablet and mobile
text alternatives for meaningful images

Standard

We use WCAG 2.2 level A and AA as a reference for further development.

Current status

The website and public app have not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not claim full conformance at this time.

Continuous improvement

We address accessibility issues during maintenance and new development and update this statement when relevant.

Known limitations

Because the website and public app are still being developed, some components may not yet work optimally with every assistive technology or input method. We record reported issues and assess them for improvement.
